dedicated staff of Paramedics, EMT's and drivers who
take great pride in their jobs. Our family orientated
atmosphere and flexible scheduling allows us to maintain
a very low turnover of field providers.
Emergency and Non-Emergency
K.A.T.S. is an EMS agency certified by the State of
Indiana. We provide basic and advanced life support
transportation by stretcher to hospitals and medical
facilities for scheduled and non-scheduled appointments,
whether emergency or non-emergency, 24 hours a day,
7 days a week both in-state and out of state.
Advanced Life Support
Our ALS units are equipped with transport ventilators,
CPAP and Infusion pumps. Our ventilators can be used
on both pediatric and adult patients. Our Neo-Natal unit
has an isolette lift, compressed air and additional
inverters. K.A.T.S ALS units are able to transport balloon
pumps and additional staff when needed and will return
staff and equipment to facilities immediately after the
transport.
Basic Life Support
K.A.T.S BLS units can transport most peripheral IV's and
potassium less than 20 meq per liter. Medication in a
closed locked system can also be transported by our BLS
units. BLS service is available to and from all facilities,
wound care, dialysis, and doctors offices. BLS service is
also available to residences and a variety of other
locations.
MEDCAR
K.A.T.S. also has a non-emergency medcar van service.
This transportation is for patients that do not qualify for
or do not medically need transfer by ambulance.
SPECIAL EVENTS COVERAGE
K.A.T.S. can provide special event coverage at both the
ALS and BLS level. Sporting events, company functions,
festivals and fairs benefit by having professional medical
assistance readily available. This service is affordable
and will enhance safety at any large gathering.
INSURANCE
K.A.T.S. Ambulance is a Medicare and Medicaid provider.
In addition, we accept all commercial carriers, VA and
self-pay. Our billing department will make every effort to
get your claims paid by insurance and will assit you with
any question you may have.
Long Distance Transports
K.A.T.S. Ambulance Service will travel anywhere in the
continental United States at considerable discounts when
Medicare, Medicaid, or Insurances do not cover the cost.
